Rachel:
Yeah, I can take care of things when I want to.
Gordon: Yeah, convenience is definitely one thing. I had a regular broker for a while, but I didn't get much service because I'm not like, some high roller.
Mike: Right that's definitely true. I figure if I'm not getting any attention, why not do it myself?
Gordon: And save on the commission.

Leader: I'd like you to talk about your experience with brokerage services and specifically, how often do you use your broker and what do you use him for?
Judy: I usually call my broker every once in a while to make trades. I would say every once in awhile, I'll get a quote off a Web site.
Leader: How often is every once in a while?
Judy: Maybe once a week.
Bob: For me, I don't call my brokers that frequently, but I just like to check the value of my portfolio on a regular basis especially these days when the markets are very volatile. I generally go online at least once a day, I think, during the course of the week, to see whether things are up or down. And if I could do it more easily, I might call more frequently, I don't know.
Gordon: I used to call my broker, but I'm finding that it's just cheaper and easier to use the Web and trade online. I don't do a lot of trades, but maybe once a week or so, when I feel like I need to do something, I'll just do it over the Web. It seems quicker and easier for me.
Leader: So have you completely given up your regular broker?
Gordon: Yeah, I haven't called him in a long time. Pretty much everything I used to do with my broker I can do online now. So, I can definitely just go over the Web, and I can save money that way. So, I don't really call my broker anymore.
